For as long as I can remember, the act of drawing has been a challenge and joy.  Printmaking is an extension of
that process, as absorbing and immediate as filling a sketchbook or attending a life drawing session.

What I enjoy about making prints is the amazing range of materials and techniques available to explore.  I like the physical aspect of carving and printing a linoleum block and the thrill of layering colours and textures when constructing a monoprint.  Intaglio is yet another experience; each step of the process an opportunity to add dimension, to shape an image.

Inspiration for images springs from sketches and photographs of my immediate landscape, from life drawing
sessions, from memory and dreams.
